One of the goals of Pleiades is to improve upon the data recorded by the Classical Atlas Project, to include correcting mistakes and omissions. New locations for the Roman settlement of Andelos in modern Spain, and an associated dam and aqueduct, constitute a fine example of user-contributed correction.

Thanks to Jean Luc Piroux, we have more accurate locations for the Roman settlement of Andelos, its aqueduct and associated dam. The Barrington Atlas locations are shown in red below, the new ones in blue.

Corrections at Andelos

The dam was originally placed on the Arga river and Andelos itself placed at Mendigorría. Jean Luc has provided more accurate coordinates for all three elements, based on clearly visible features in Google Earth imagery.
