Regular verification and updating of gazetteer HTML resource pages in the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine has been run for the period through 6am EDT on 2025-11-04. Today we checked 54 recently created or updated Pleiades place resources and their subordinate components. Of these, the Wayback Machine reported that its copies of 53 of these web pages were missing or out-of-date. We requested updates with new snapshots for all of them and 39 of them were successfully updated after which the Wayback machine API error rate caused our script to stop attempting further checks and updates. Updates that failed or that were left unattempted will be tried again at the end of the month.

The Slovak language, written in its standard writing system (i.e., Roman characters), has been added to the "name languages" vocabulary used for name resources in the Pleiades gazetteer. The IANA-registered code "sk" has been used for the entry: https://pleiades.stoa.org/vocabularies/ancient-name-languages/sk
