Let's spruce up Asia Minor!
Come one, come all to an open Pleiades hack day ("collaboration festival", "online workshop", call it what you will), next Tuesday, 18 December 2012. We're going to focus on Pleiades places in Asia Minor, concentrating on the following improvement tasks:
- Better titles
- Useful descriptions
- Connections to containing regions (especially Asia Minor itself, which right now looks kinda sad)
- Modern names
Many of these are tasks that a beginning Pleiades contributor can do, so I hope you'll consider joining us regardless of your experience level. There's plenty of work to do!
We'll start assembling (virtually) in the Pleiades IRC channel at 15:00 GMT (that's 10 a.m. US Eastern Time) and we'll keep the hackfest rolling for the next 4 hours. If you're unfamiliar with IRC (a tried-and-true, old-school form of online chat room), please have a look at our help page on the subject: http://pleiades.stoa.org/help/content/pleiades-irc. You're welcome to drop into the Pleiades IRC channel ahead of time to test things out. Be sure to say hello.
