A valley of the Pulvar River near Pasargadai in Fars/Persis, Iran. Rescue excavations before the completion of Sivand Dam revealed settlements and cemeteries from 5000 BCE to the Sassanian period, including the first rural site from the Achaemenid period to be excavated in Iran.
