Archaeological site on the banks of the Zerqa River with signs of habitation in the Early Bronze Age I-II and IV. The eastern portion of the larger Tell Um Hammad site is called Um Hammad Sharqiya; the western section is Um Hammad al-Gharbi. The two may have been linked as a single village in the Early Bronze Age IV.
