Temple in Babylon, not located, but probably situated near the Uraš Gate in the South of the city of Babylon, according to the textual evidence. The term Equlû may be a loan from Sumerian *é.gu.la “big house”. Although known mainly from the texts of the “Divine Love Lyrics”, the Equlû is also attested in other first millennium BCE rituals from Babylon. The name of the temple was previously read Bīt Qulê.
