Pleiades

The church of Santa Maria in Trastevere is one of the oldest Christian churches in Rome. The earliest sanctuary dates to the third century A.D. under Pope Callixtus I. The layout of the building dates to the mid-fourth century and much of the current superstructure dates to the twelfth century.
