This archaeological site is located approximately 7 km. southeast of Umma in Iraq's Eastern Dhi Qar Governorate. The material on the tell ranges in date from Ubaid to Early Dynastic. The site was focus of excavation in the 1990s. It covers some 5 square km. and the tell rises to about 20 meters. Remains of a large administrative structure (palace?) and a temple (Temple H) have been identified. The site has been the victim of extensive looting.
