During archaeological excavations beginning in 1969, Champigneulles (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France) was revealed to be the site of a settled, productive landscape that included the remains of a Gallo-Roman villa. The entry authored by R. Billoret included in the Princeton Encyclopedia of Classical Sites describes what sounds like an assemblage of archaeological loci as opposed to a single locus.
