This sanctuary is located in the Kerameikos of Athens, south of the street of the tombs and was established in the early Hellenistic Age. It has often been identified as a sanctuary of Hekate, but more recent research suggests that it was dedicated to Artemis Soteira. It also contained a prophetic well associated with Paian.
