Now unlocated, the Barrington Atlas Directory indicates that Pentascino was a road station located east of Pelusium.

The Barrington Atlas Directory notes: road station E Pelusium

According to RE, the toponym is also mentioned in the Madaba Map. The location is strongly debated due to the absence of this toponym in the Tabula Peutingeriana, which in turn seems to have Gerra, which is lacking in the Antonine Itinerary and seems to be a preferred version of the name in later sources. Hence, the two were considered the same by Clédat (cited in RE) and located in the ruins of "Mehemdiah" (od. Al Maḩamdīyah in the North Sinai), which was also proposed as the location for Kasios/Kasion. However, the distance of this place from Pelusium is much smaller than what is declared in the Antonine Itinerary, and the identification has not been further pursued.
