The Zygritai were a Libyan people mentioned by Ptolemy and thought to have been localized in the vicinity of the ancient town of Zygris, for which Ptolemy separately provides coordinates. Desanges (whence RE) puts them in the vicinity of modern Sidi Barrani in Egypt's Matruh governorate. BAtlas writes the label just east of Sidi Barrani, between it and Marsa Matruh.

The New Pauly reference has been removed from this place resource. It cites Desanges and RE, but renders itself incorrect and confusing in both English and German by inverting the descriptive directional relationships with other peoples and communities.
