A nucleated hillfort site in Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway council area (Anwoth parish) with evidence for two periods of occupation: the first before and during the 4th century BCE, and the second during the 5th-7th centuries CE. A 1st/2nd century CE Samian ware sherd was also identified there. The 2012 excavations that provided these dates also cast serious doubt on the authenticity of a famed "Pictish" inscribed stone at the site.
