An ancient settlement of Messenia. Scholars are uncertain as to its precise location, but some have suggested that it was located on Mount Ithome (and therefore was a predecessor to the city of Messene) or was associated with remains of an acropolis on the hill of the Kastro of modern Tsoukaleika.
