History
The northernmost of two associated settlements located on the western bank of the Euphrates, showing signs of habitation from the Late Uruk period through the Middle Bronze Age. Rescue excavations were conducted at the site before it was inundated by the Tabqa Dam Reservoir in the early 1970s.
