History
A sanctuary of the Bona Dea is known to have existed in Rome's Trastevere district. The sanctuary was likely located just to the north of the Christian church of Santa Cecilia, and several inscriptions that record patronage directed to the sanctuary are known. This includes the benefactions of M. Vettius Bolanus.
