Rectangular defensive tower externally added to the western defensive circuit wall around the city of Dura-Europos and intended to add additional protection in a section of mudbrick curtain wall on the city's northwest corner. Built ca. 150 BCE, the city's fortifications were breached in 256 CE and went out of use thereafter.
