The site of Tabo was part of the Kushite kingdom. It is located in the southern part of Argo Island, south of Kerma, some 40 km north of Dongola. A well-preserved temple of Amun measuring ca. 75.6 metres (248 ft) long and 31 meters (102 ft) is found at the site. This is one of the largest known temples in Nubia.
