The Roman Fort near Watercrook Farm (at Kendal in northwest England) was originally built ca. AD 90 and rebuilt ca. AD 130. It may have been called Alone?/Alauna? in antiquity. Its poorly preserved remains are coincident with those of a contemporaneous civilian settlement.
