Last week the Pleiades editorial college published 5 new and 62 updated place resources, reflecting the work of Jeffrey Becker, Catherine Bouras, Tom Elliott, Carolin Johansson, Brady Kiesling, Gabriel McKee, and Rune Rattenborg.

The Greek walls of the city of Hipponion, later Vibo Valentia, were established in the sixth century BCE. They originally stood to some 10 meters in height and had a circuit of 6 to 7 kilometers. The extant tracts were rediscovered in the early twentieth century and excavated by Paolo Orsi.

An ancient road station and settlement along the Via Egnatia in Mygdonia, between Amphipolis and Thessaoniki. Located near the modern municipality of Nea Apollonia in the Thessaloniki province of Greece. Possibly at a location now called Polina (Papazoglou) or a site between Nea Apollonia and Kokkalou excavated by Hatzopoulos in the early 1990s.

Methana/Arsinoe refers to a peninsula and settlement located on the north coast of the Argolid. In geological terms, the peninsula is formed by relatively recent volcanic activity, with the last-known eruptive activity in the third century BCE. Human activity on the peninsula spans many periods. The chief polity was located in the southwest of the peninsula where the modern village of Megalochori is found today.
