A draft of a new policy document has been posted on Google Docs for review and comment by community members. Please help us perfect it.

Over the past year, the Pleiades editorial college and our community reviewers have been working on a new, detailed policy document. These "Editorial Guidelines" arise from the experience of using Pleiades and working with students and scholars on newly submitted material. They are intended to record and communicate requirements and expectations for the creation and updating of the various types of information resources that comprise the gazetteer's content (i.e., places, names, locations, and references). Once complete, the Guidelines will underpin revision and expansion of the help and "how to" information provided to the Pleiades user community. They will also shape the editorial process for newly submitted material.

The Pleiades editors invite your comment, via a publicly accessible Google Document, on the draft Editorial Guidelines.
