Tom: Using the Google Geocoder, this is the location of Brandsteig. I dont know exactly where the archaeological site is located, but it should be close to this point. The name of the location is from Barrington Atlas directory. Brandsteig is located within the Gemeinde Schenkenzell.

This is a clarification of my previous suggestion: The exact location of the archaeological site of the Roman road station at Brandsteig, Gemeinde Schenkenzell is at (lng,lat) 8.3966495 48.2982227. This spot is on the OpenStreetMap with the symbol of an archaeological site. In addition there is a archaeological site map included as a ground-overlay in a KML-document at http://landconsult.de/google-data/brandsteig/brandsteig.kml Both my posts are in full compliance with the Barrington Atlas directory, which says Schenkenzell, Brandsteig GER. This comments is ment to replace my previous post which is pending review and the DARMC-coordinates.
