Site of a Gallo-Roman sanctuary and subsequent city of the Roman imperial period, the "Site gallo-romain de Barzan" is spread across the modern French communes of Barzan, Talmont-sur-Gironde and Arces-sur-Gironde in the department of Charente-Maritime. BAtlas equated it with ancient Tannum/Tamnum, but alternatives continue to be offered.
