Modern town in Sicily, near Cefalù, that has been associated with the ancient settlement of Apollonia.

Base map by Ryan M. Horne for Pleiades and the Ancient World Mapping Center (ancient terrain after the Barrington Atlas). Map interaction design and implementation by Sean Gillies, David Glick, Alec Mitchell, and Tom Elliott for Pleiades.

The identification of Pollina with Apollonia stated in Manni 1981 is not supported by the Barrington Atlas or the BTCGI which both suggest Monte San Fratello as a more plausible location.
