Tell Abu Hafur is an archaeological site located in the Khabur River basin of Syria. Salvage excavations in 1988–1990 documented the site, which had two main tells. These mounds and the evidence for human activity there ranged in date from the Early Dynastic period to the Mitanni period to the Neo-Assyrian period, with later Hellenistic, Parthian-Roman, and early Islamic activity.
