Norşuntepe is the site of a Chalcolithic and Iron Age tell located in Turkey's Elazığ Province. Excavations led by Harald Hauptmann between 1968 and 1974 identified 40-some occupational horizons stretching from the fifth millennium BCE to the Iron Age. It is now partially inundated by Lake Keban.
