A Spanish village located in the east of Huelva that belonged to the kingdom of Alfonso X. While there is on-site evidence for long-term human activity since antiquity, the present settlement, known in modern terms as Moguer, is traditionally said to have been founded in 1333 by the Señorío de Moguer ("Seigneury of Moguer").
