An ancient river of north Africa, placed by the Ravenna Geographer between the Isaris (modern Oued Isser) and the Ligar (perhaps the Siga). Modern identification of the Nigrensis is uncertain: the modern Oued Amieur, Salsaf, Sikkak, and Tafna are all candidates.
