Located on the east side of Pompeii's forum (VII, 9, 1), the so-called Eumachia building is a large, public building financed by Eumachia, a public priestess of Venus in Pompeii during the middle of the first century AD.

Pleiades

Eumachia, a public priestess of Venus, sponsored the construction of this large structure adjoining the east side of Pompeii's forum during the reign of Tiberius. Its function remains debated.
