A river placed by Ptolemy between Persis and Carmania. Marcian of Heraclea and Ammianus also mention it. Potts declined to map it in BAtlas, registering it instead in the directory as "unlocated". BAtlDir does cite Tomášek's article in RE (1896), which asserts an identification with a watercourse he calls "Nâbendrûd" that debouched into the modern Nayband Gulf (evidently the modern Rūdkhāneh-ye Khowr in Iran).
