The first archaeological survey of an area of north Babylonia associated with ancient Akkad. The survey was conducted in the 1950s by Robert Adams and Vaughn Crawford and published as an appendix to Gibson 1972. Its extent and methods were influential in the subsequent development of Mesopotamian archaeology.
