History
The modern name assigned to the southernmost gate of Dūr-Šarrukīn's southeast wall. The ancient name of Gate 4 is not known, but it has been suggested that it was the Adad Gate, the Bēlet-ilī Gate, the Ea Gate, and the Šamaš Gate.
