Agnone is a comune in the Italian province of Isernia, in the Molise region. It lies about 53 km (33 miles) northwest of Campobasso. An ancient center of Oscan-Samnite culture, Agnone is known particularly as the namesake of the third-century BCE "Agnone tablet" that was discovered at Fonte di Romito.
