In Letta's report, "La Giostra" is the name given to a hill located within the Amplero basin. This hill is now wooded but was surrounded by a fortification wall in antiquity (perimeter of 354 m) and was the site of sacred activity. In some archaeological discourse, this partitive toponym seems to describe the entire site. It should not be confused with other Italic sites bearing the same toponym.
