Local researchers are quite in agreement in placing the statio of Paternum at the Roman villa of Piano di Mazza at these coordinates: 39.4617612,17.0146758,492
We are not far from the current state road E90.
The point indicated in Pleades is incorrect, and corresponds to the historic center of Crucoli, which is instead a town of medieval origin, while the town associated with Paternum corresponds to the northern area of the Torretta di Crucoli hamlet.
