Eḫursaggalkurkurra was the name of Aššur's cella. Sometimes, however, that name was used for the entire temple, for example, in inscriptions of Ashurbanipal (668–631 BC). The Sumerian ceremonial name means “House of the Great Mountain of the Lands.”
