Hellenistic temple constructed by Cleopatra VII and dedicated to Julius Caesar, and later rededicated by Augustus to himself. In 13 BCE Augustus relocated two obelisks from Heliopolis to the site. The temple was converted to a Christian church in the mid-4th century.
