A place named "Neapolis" is included on map 47 of the Barrington Atlas, with the compilers including it among the list of unlocated places. BTCGI informs the reader that this place may correspond to a toponym mentioned once by Plutarch. In that case, Plutarch refers to a district of the chora of Akragas (modern Agrigento, Sicily).
