A promontory on the north coast of Corsica mentioned by Ptolemy. Modern scholars identify it with the Punta Cavallata, which is located just west of the Gulf of Saint Florent.

cape, promontory

Barrington Atlas: BAtlas 48 C2 Tilox Akron

The Barrington Atlas Directory follows Moracchini-Mazel in identifying Punta Cavallata, but the Barrington Atlas Map 48 incorrectly places the label much further west, at La Revellata.
