An ancient river of Mygdonia mentioned by Strabo. Foss (BAtlas) identifies it with the modern Kara Dere (Karacay), a tributary of the Simav in Turkey's Bursa province, rejecting 19th century scholarship that identified it tentatively with the Nilüfer.
