Abai was an ancient town in Phocis, said to have been founded by the Argive Abas. It has been identified with a hilltop, fortified archaeological site known as Palaiokhori, near modern Exarchos. The site of an oracular sanctuary of Apollo and Artemis associated with Abai in ancient literature has been identified at nearby Kallipodi.
