Details:

Due to the mention of Thyateira in AGRW 135 = TAM V 959 = ILydiaKP II 51 = ILydiaHoz 22.10 = PHI 264389 = AGRW ID# 693, it is probable that Mernouphyta was located somewhere in the vicinity of Thyateira. The Attalids apparently founded Mernouphyta either to reinforce or counter the power of Thyateira, depending on Thyateira's relationship to the Seleukid Empire.
