The so-called House of the Moralist, also known as the House of M. Epidius Hymenaeus, is located on the Via dell'Abbondanza. The house was formed from two connecting properties that belonged to two related wine-merchants, T. Arrius Polites and M. Epidius Hymenaeus ( III, 4, 2-3).
