Barrington Atlas: BAtlas 58 C2 Aroanios fl.
BAtlDir has clearly mixed Pausanias citations and possibly other information between the various Arcadian rivers with this name. This place resource has been adjusted for Pausanias citations after Hirschfeld in RE and by correlating BAtlas placement with Pausanias' descriptions. Consequently, the modern name/location glosses in BAtlDir cannot be correlated with modern digital gazetteers; however, note that BAtlDir for 58 C2 Aroanios, which cites the Pausanias passage describing the river labeled at BAtlas 58 B2 Aroanios, glosses "Katsana-Mazaiika" for modern name/location and the Wikipedia article for the present Aroanios river offers "at some point in the past the river bore the name Katzanas or Katsanas".
BAtlDir moreover would identify with this river the Olbios/Aroanius, discussed separately by Pausanias and treated as distinct by RE, despite Pausanias' assertion that it flows in the plain of Pheneus, which is separated from the valley of Kleitor by a mountain range.
