History
Κυπαρισσήεις (masculine) is an unlocated ancient settlement of Elis said by Strabo (8.3.25) to be uninhabited in his day and to have been near "old Makistia" (περὶ τὴν πρότερον Μακιστίαν; also unlocated). He regards it as distinct from another Kyparissia in Triphylia in Elis (8.3.22; also unlocated), as well as a better-known one in Messenia (modern Kyparissia; 8.3.25).
