San Pancrazio al Fango is an early medieval abbey built between the eighth and ninth centuries AD.

Pleiades

The abbey sits atop the remains of a villa that belonged to Clodius, referred to in Cicero's oration, Pro Milone. The villa stood on what was once an island in Prelius L. The site is now a low hill.
