The Chabina flumen is named in the inscribed Severan dedication for a Roman bridge over the modern Cendere river at Burmapınar in Turkey's Adıyaman province. BAtlas applies the name heading both downstream (joining the Kâhta) all the way to the Euphrates and upstream, parting from the Cendere near the village of Çarhanek to follow the Birimşe up to its headwaters in the Malatya Dağları.
