A late Republican domus of the Palatine Hill that was later consumed by the substructures of the Domitianic wing of the Flavian palace. The Casa dei Grifi preserves important wall paintings that are transitional from the First to the Second Pompeian style. Giacomo Boni discovered the domus in 1912.
