Clausentum was an ancient settlement of Roman Britain located on the river Itchen near the edge of Southampton. Some scholars place the Roman site at Bitterne, England.

Mileages in the Antonine Itinerary place Clausentum most likely in the vicinity of Shedfield. Locating it near Bitterne is wrong.
