Remains of a Roman fort have been identified between modern Lochmaben and Lockerbie in Scotland. The site -- or an as-yet undiscovered nearby settlement, sanctuary, or road station -- may have been named *Locus Maponi by the Ravenna Cosmographer.

One of a cluster of Roman camps/forts that were probably Brocara of the Cosmography. Not "Locus Maponi". See www.romaneranames.uk/b/brocara.htm
